Poverty
Series: The Bible & Social Justice
This presenter examines poverty through a theological and social justice lens. With a background in
religion and social work, the speaker shares insights from seminary and community work, highlighting how
systemic poverty, especially in Black communities, demands a compassionate, faith-driven response.
Rooted in Scripture, including Deuteronomy 15:10–11, the message defines poverty, challenges harmful
myths, and calls the Church to act through service, advocacy, and love. A stirring reminder that confronting
poverty is central to living out the Gospel.
